potters market's prettiest

we went to the potter's market yesterday and had a lovely time walking around looking at all the rad stuff people are making. i want to do this market at the end of novemeber with my hopefully completed range of porcelain mugs and jugs. il keep you posted on the progress...
here are some local potters/ceramicists i like:

tessa gawith from the pot spot in muizenberg makes these lovelies...

then there was lisa ringwood, who's beautiful ceramics i saw for the first time. i really liked her work. it all seemed a bit wonky but really cool to touch. nice!!!!!

i loved the shapes and colours of christo giles' pottery. i bought one of the tea-bowl shaped cups, without handles on his shelf. mine is a beautiful celadon green and i've already had a deliciously huge cup of tea out of it. yum. they are really nice to hold....

i like the reflections of the trees in the red glazed bowls...beautiful.

i also went to go and say hallo to my friends lisa and daniel...

and i went to visit my friend frances kierman. she was selling her 'my china' range of ceramics...find my china here!
