my lovely friends clintonius and dannaleee brought back some lovely memory gifts from india for rosy and i. thanks guys, makes me feel so special that you were thinking of us while you were galavanting the globe. sheesh ive been missing that faraway place called india a lot lately and have been dreaming of going back. but you should really only go there after a well rested holiday, cause it's damn hard work.....

(unless you have like gazillions of rupees, then you can travel in style, but then you also kinda missing the point)

its sometimes just nice to dream about how romantic it is while you are in the comfort of your own house lying on the couch watching the cricket. naaaice.

preferably with an neverending supply of beers. cheers.

i'm a little bit sick in bed today and since south africa is playing the irish i might just move my ass into the next room(the tv room) and retire for the day. over and out.

skermunkil at the Hearth Fair

i think next time everything is going rosy i'll be a little bit more cautious in putting it out there. im sure it was murphy's law getting me back last week (showing me just how "not nice" things can be or stoopid), after i was going on about how lucky i felt in getting so many surprises and presents in one week. after blabbering on about how rad my life was, everything turned pearshaped.

1. i almost got into a fistfight at a 1000 drawings (not really, but i could've)
2. tried out a new market in stellenbosch, the hearth fair, it was a complete washout (for us anyhows, just not enough of our peeps)
3. on the way back from market found out that our cash was stolen at the biscuit mill market.
i mean......yikes and what the.........jeez louise.
after that i locked myself in my house and im not going out until the dark clouds (literally) disappear.

one really rad thing to mention cause it cant all be doom and gloom.....i got this fantastically beautiful cup/mug from my lovely friend Rayne....it is my new favourite thing and i drink coffee out of it constantly (and tea). it was designed by one of my alltime favourite designers,
Frauke Stegmann. i think she is a genius...seriously no jokes. all sorts of beautiful things are for sale at her mom and sister's restaurant, Birds Boutique Cafe.

presents, surprises, finds

last week was sooper rad, firstly i got my frankie cookbook "afternoon tea" in the mail. its full of tasty baked goods. yayyyy, lets have tea and lets buy an oven (yes, i dont have one yet...)

i found this sooper cute owl money bank in a antique shop in stellenbosch while i was looking for cutlery.....i didn't find any cutlery.

i received this beautiful gift of porcelain bunny spoon and two (not one, but two) fantastical bird pins that i abslolutely love. thanks so much to my lovely faraway friend samantha, you made me smile big smiles...

and lookie lookie what else i got from another faraway friend....frankie. sigh.....couldn't believe my eyes.....i'm going through it very slowly rochellie, savouring every moment!!!! thanks soooo much you made my month.
